The Socius 6-Week BJJ Challenge.
A beginner-only starter program built to take you from day-one nerves to your first comfortable roll. Gi included, mentor pairing, and a small group of people starting at exactly the same place as you.
Skills, not a syllabus.
Six weeks of unlimited access to our beginner classes. The topics below are what you'll work through — not week-by-week, but as live coaching threads that come up class to class. By the end you'll have touched all of it and reps to spare on the parts you needed most.
Falls & Language
Learn how to fall safely, warm up like a grappler, and move on the mat without getting tangled up. We cover the language of BJJ — positions, points, and tap rules — so nothing on the mat feels mysterious.
Movement & Posture
Drilling the shrimp, the bridge, the technical stand-up, and base. You'll move on the ground with intent instead of bracing against panic — the single biggest unlock for new students.
Submissions Intro
Your first chokes and joint locks from safe, controlled positions. We focus on mechanics over muscle so you understand why a submission works, not just how to crank it. Tap early, tap often.
Escapes & Frames
Getting out from under bad spots — mount escapes, side-control escapes, and how to use frames so you don't get crushed. Most students stop feeling helpless on the bottom once these click.
Position Hierarchy
Connecting it all into a map: where you want to be, where you don't, and how to climb the ladder. You'll start to see BJJ as a game of position over panic and recognize transitions in real time.
Live Rolling Onramp
Positional sparring with mentors, then your first full rolls — at a pace that matches your level. By the time you wrap the program you'll have rolled, survived, learned, and decided whether BJJ is the thing for you.
Everything you need on day one.
- Gi (uniform) — A loaner gi is provided and yours to use through the full 6 weeks — no need to buy gear before you know if BJJ is for you.
- Unlimited Classes — Train as often as your schedule allows across the full 6 weeks. You'll be paired with experienced grapplers who slow it down, walk you through the details, and help you learn at your pace.
- Mentor Pairing — You'll be paired with an upper-belt mentor on day one. Same training partner, same coach, every week — accountability built in.
- WhatsApp Community — You'll be added to the Socius WhatsApp group so questions, wins, and "I'm nervous about Tuesday" don't have to wait until you're back at the gym.
Simple, all-in pricing.

Common questions.
How much does the Challenge cost?
$297 for the full 6 weeks — currently on sale (regularly $447) for a limited time. The Challenge is all-in: classes, gi, and mentor pairing are included with no add-ons.
What if my schedule isn't perfectly flexible?
The Challenge gives you unlimited access to classes across our weekly schedule, so you can train whenever your week allows — most schedules can find a fit. Miss a day? See the next question — we have you covered.
Do I need to be in shape to start?
No. You need to be willing to show up. We have students who started in their 50s, students recovering from injuries, and students who hadn't done anything athletic in a decade. We scale intensity to you, not the other way around.
What if I miss a class?
No problem. The topics rotate across classes rather than running in a fixed weekly sequence, so missing one doesn't put you behind — you'll catch the same material on another night, and your mentor can fill you in on anything specific.
What comes after the Challenge?
Most students roll right into a month-to-month membership and keep training — no contract, cancel anytime. Some take a break, some decide BJJ wasn't for them. All of those are fine outcomes. The point of the Challenge is to find out.
